I gave notice.
I\'m soon to be unemployed.

My plan is to move to Oklahoma and get a job there, so if anyone knows any lawyers in Oklahoma....

Hey, at least its safer than the time before last when I gave notice - and moved to Iraq -

Dont know any lawyers up there but I might know someone who knows someone if you know what I mean.

well vince honestly i dont think youll have a hard time getting a job as a lawyer. you could always move to hollywood and work for paris hilton oooh or howard stern *anna nicole\'s lawyer* and represent him instead. hehe.

I don\'t feel so lonely all of a sudden. Closed my business down (more or less) a month ago. Hope to start my new \'job\' on Monday... Dang I hate working for other people but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, at least for now

personally i hate lawyers ... shilpa\'s cousin here in toronto is one..and since the law truly makes no logical sense... anything she says makes me want to shoot her!!!

hopefully u r better than that :)

I have several lawyer friends in Houston and Dallas. If you aren\'t having any luck on your own, I could contact them, as they may know about firms/practices in the region.

Is there a particular area you specialize in? I know one of them had specialized in Native American law for awhile, and may have even spent some time on the reservations, though I am not sure if that was in Oklahoma.

Thanks all.

The reasons are multitude, but it basically comes down to a quality of life decision.
For health reasons my wife is not going to be able to keep working much longer.
My family is in Oklahoma and can help us out if necessary. The salary for lawyers in Oklahoma is about 80-85% of what it is here, but the cost of living is about 50%.
So I can support us both on a single income there.

As to type of law, I do litigation. That means trials and appeals and such.

That\'s a great picture Bill. It\'s fun to see those guys swooping about in the evening.
