First off, I\'m gonna pat my own back: I won the single figure category of a local GW store painting contest! (I should probably post it here, but the only pic I have is the crappy one I took for Golden Toadstools)
Now the funny part:
The local GW store has been giving out little numbered tickets as part of the White Dwarf 30th Anniversary thing. On May 5, my daughters and I went to the GW store with our horde of accumulated tickets and won an Orcs & Goblins army box! Woo hoo!
The next Saturday we went back and won another Orcs & Goblins army box. I was fairly embarrassed. People were very congratulatory the first week, but not quite so much the second week. I gave all my remaining tickets to a kid who frequents the store so that he\'ll have a better chance at the gold plated mini. I just couldn\'t stand winning all three.
(I\'ve been horribly busy lately... I miss hanging out here. Curse my employer for actually wanting me to do things)
