If this is true then this is bad news indeed as they are some of the finest minis on the market IMO. I have mailed GQ and am waiting for a response.

Wow, that sucks, I don\'t have a single Ilyad mini but I\'ve always liked them. I may have to get a couple before it\'s too late.

I find it strange nothing can be found anywhere save on Gamers quest website so far. Doesn\'t mean it can\'t be true though... still it\'s strange that a retailer comes with the news first like this if it\'s true. Couldn\'t find anything on the Ilyad site as well (or anywhere else for that matter)... But then again their own page doesn\'t seem to be updated for quite a while and my french is horribly bad to non existent.

This is so depressing if it\'s true :( I\'ve checked Starplayer and they don\'t seem to have anything on there about this. Plus one of the elves I was interested in is still available there but shown as OOP at Gamers Quest.

Having witnessed some of the problems Gamers Quest have themselves suffered from, I find it strange that they have just blatted this out on their web page. Why would they be privvy to this information when no one else seems to be reporting it ???

On a plus, I am lucky to have a few of the Ilyad models so if this sad news is true, at least I have some great models I can take out and hug once in a while.....

Yes, I\'ve always admired their minis but have yet to get any. I was trying to put together an order but it never came about, for various reasons.

Tooshy, were you lucky enough to get the special edition Desdemone? I kept trying to figure out how to get one, but could never get an answer.

It\'s always sad to see a mini company possibly go under...

No I didn\'t get one of those, for the main reason I really don\'t like the model! It does nothing for me and even though its a ltd ed, I wouldn\'t buy one unless I liked it.

Maybe keep an eye out on ebay and you may be lucky to find one???

You had to buy stuff for 150 Euro at Starplayer to get one. I don\'t know if the offer is still available or if they\'ve sold everyone.

And, from what I\'ve heard Ilyad are still in business... ???

This is a bizarre one but I\'d say that it is a possibility otherwise why Put OOP.. Gamers quest may have problems with suppy as I know similar to most Ilyad suppliers they were constantly selling out of the Cool stuff ..Barbarians etc but none of the other stuff was selling so a real bitch to keep up with demand.

It will be a real shame if true but unfortunately not the first or last time this will happen..

If anyone connected to Ilyad read this I have one message..Make the product more easily available (I know easier said than done and they were still a young company) but The replies on this thread and on countless others have a common theme..Loads of people were gonna or want to buy them but the difficulty to obtain is causing big barriers...

here\'s hoping things are Ok..

Hi demonherald,

Yeah, I think you\'ve got a very good point.

So hard to get hold of. I don\'t purchase stuff off the net and therefore go to (or get my Mum to go to) real-life physical stores to purchase my minis.

Anyway with Ilyad in mind, I asked my Mum to pick me up a mini or two at Mind Games Swanston St Melbourne which is in my opinion one of the largest miniature and games suppliers in Australia. Their diversity of minis to choose from is the stuff of dreams! Well, I checked out their complete stock catalogue yesterday and discovered that they don\'t stock Ilyad minis.

So I guess I won\'t be buying Ilyad. :(

When I was in Paris last moth I herd that Ilyad was not doing very well and may go out of business, so it very well may be true. Its a shame if it is true, they had very nice miniatures.

Dammit!!! I didn\'t get any. I just blew all of my cash on my wife\'s anniversary present. ot that is a bad thing. But I would really like to get some of these models.

Is there anyway to get them? Is there a UK dealer?

edit*** the link worked for me this time. I see I can get them from here.

Meh, i\'ve been trying to find someone sellinjg the Howling Peaks Champion for a month now ever since i saw one on this site... and cannot find a single stockist who has one for love nor money.

If you can\'t actually buy a company\'s mini, it\'s not surprising they might have financial trouble

My guess is if they go down they will come back up again.. or possibly someone else by their minis. They are too good to just go away for good. Seems there is more of a promoting then quality issue.

I hope they don\'t go under, but it seems like they would earn more profit if it were easier to get the product without paying exorbitant shipping and tax.

They make/made great minis!

But I remember the pains that GQ initially went through to make their product available...it was certainly above and beyond the call of duty as Ilyad didn\'t seem keen to ship abroad at all.

I hope it is either a case of, a) GQ simply can\'t be bothered with the hassle anymore or, b) If Ilyad have succumbed, somebody with a bit more business sense picks up the baton.

When I owned gamemart, I tried stocking them too. I sent a few emails and several more in French (my wife had a French secretary at the time).... absolutely no response from them at all :(

They are superb minis and it\'ll be a shame if they go under.
