I'm painting again.

Got the board game from Wyrd - Puppet Wars. Played it at the CMON Expo in Atlanta.

40 plus little minis to paint. Two days to cut, glue, fiddle & prime them. I must say that the molding is excellent. Virtually no flash, only a couple of bits that needed fiddling with to hide seams. But they are supposed to be "puppets" so seams might be ok?

Now for the painting.... Started last night with one of the easier pieces. I feel like someone hexed my brushes, no control. Paint won't behave - some of it has turned on me while I've been neglecting it.

Blimey! First minis since 2007, according to your gallery. I always think it's great when folks come back after a long hiatus. There's so much to be gained from painting minis - it's relaxing and creative and cathartic and alla that stuff all at once. Looking forward to seeing your newest works whenever they're ready for some critique

Either way works.

Do it cave man style, just place the pigment in your mouth and then spit in controlled bursts, you can't go wrong.

That may look better than some of my results the last two nights.
You'd think that muscle memory would take over and I'd be able to paint... But that is a fine motor skill and must be kept up.

Hitting the target is not the problem, but the brush seems huge and the collateral damage to the rest of the mini while I paint an area is astounding.

Seems I've forgotten how to edge paint the raised areas..
Looks like it may be time for some serious dark wash to cover the mistakes.

I find taking my contacts out has the desired effect of making my minis look like Golden Demon winners at arms length...lol
