Imperial Commissar - WH 40K

Hy folx,

I started a WIP threat some weeks ago for this little bugger. (HERE)
Unfortunately I had to finish this mini for a german paint-competition so I had no time left to make new WIP photos.
And due to my vacation I only had 3 days left to paint the entire base and the rest of the mini. 3 days with very little sleep.
So here is the finished commissar, hope you like it.

I really like this one, it was great to watch the wip.

My favourite part is the face, there is a lot of character captured, and the stubble and scar look fantastic!

Excellent mini! Excellent base! I may have to use this as a reference on how to make a killer base. Would you be willing to make a tutorial on bases like these?

Also, what colors did you use to paint the power claw?

Wow that base really is fantastic. Just saw the WIP thread for the first time and it was pretty cool to see this guy taking shape.

Really great piece. Everything comes together nicely. I feel the face could use a last couple of highlights and maybe some more tonality to it. The pants/grey cloth and the cloak are both beautiful.

That is seriously nice... my only (TINY) criticism would be that personally I think the base is a little tiny bit too large, overpowering and complex and detracts from the mini a tiny bit... perhaps if the base were done in a slightly more muted style than the mini it\'d knock it back a little more and make it less distracting.

But it\'s still a 9.something, the face is just great and the blends are VERY smooth....


all in all, very, very nice.
