Indulging myself by painting something of my own

I have been painting so many things for so many people lately that I haven\'t painted anything for myself since May! Since I\'ve been playing Warmachine/Hordes on a nearly weekly basis with friends, I\'d figure I\'d indulge one of my warcasters on a quickie paint job while waiting for Tau megaforce pieces to dry.

For as short a time as he took, I\'m fairly pleased with the results, especially considering Vilmon took 3x as long. So here he is:


High Exemplar Kreoss

The original weapon sculpt is a short chain from the handle to the ball, sweeping backward. I liked the illustration in the Prime rulebook better, and my wife suggested the jewerly chain mod. She\'s so great.

What struck me is how much fun it was to paint something of my own again! Commission work may be tedious, but it really gave me that \"absence makes the heart grow fonder\" effect for my own armies.

Nice work! Good to paint one for yourself I like the golds, and the freehand on his cap (it\'s damn hard to get those thin lines right)/. The conversion is nice too V&Cd.

Greatstuff.. I know what you mean about the commissions thing.. going back to painting how you want on your own stuff is a very refreshing break..

@Bill - for image as hyperlink, just put the \"url\" tag wrapping the \"img\" tag. basically, the \"url\' and \"/url\" will be the first and last things, and a \"img\", \"/img\" and name will be between them.

Nice work. Its good to be able to sit back and do stuff for yourself sometimes. I finally have no projects left and may do the same. Nice paint job. White is so hard to do. Did the vote thing.

Looking good!

I like the colour of the robe...nicely done. I think the white needs a bit of shading to stop it looking a bit one dimensional. On the whole a pretty solid job. Well done

I hear you! It rekindles the reason you probably bought the mini in the first place.
