I'm working on a fun little project of goblin raiders who are equipped with items taken from else where. One idea I really like for dealing with burn out is painting clothing in difference animal skin patterns or captured battle standards. It involves some mutant animals so I can find an excuse to paint anything from zebra stripes to cheetah spots, it's all on the table lore wise and I plan to exploit it to the best of my ability. My issue comes with making the warband feel as a single coherent group rather than a set of individual models slapped on the table. I'm going to keep the skin an uniform look to help with this but I was hoping others might have some tips. Will the skin tone and basing be enough to unite an other wise eclectic group of models or do I need to find some other option for doing it? There will be some models heavily covered in fabric (night goblins) while others are near naked (Savage goblins).
