Hi guys

I have just added this my latest mini to my gallery, it is one of the Ilyad games Orc range which I just love, I have had to crop out some of the base so the mini can be seen better, but overall I am fairly pleased with it though this mini has taught me one thing and that is that I seriously need to get my eyes tested and glasses prescribed as for alot of the finer detail I just couldn\'t see a thing.

I enjoyed painting the mini immensely and look forward to hopefully being able to get hold of more of the now defunct Ilyad Range.

As always your work is awesome. Metals flawless live the reflections and the blood etc. So how do you do your blood. Is it a glaze?

Thanks guys, the blood is just layers of red ink, and then to darken in places I add a touch of Chaos Black, pretty simple but if you stick with it it looks fairly effective.

Which metallic paints do you use and how do you thin them?

The one thing I do not like (purely a matter of personal taste though) is the skin tone. The green is a tad to intense for my linking.

agree on the skin but purely from a taste perspective..Again love the metallics you sure do nail those..Also nice to see this sculpt as I\'ve only ever seen the picture ....zIt\'s a shame Ilyad went under some lovely stuff they had.

Actually, I love the intense skintone on him, it contrasts well with the armour and base and adds a vibrant quality to the piece (that almost sounds like I know what I\'m talking about :] ).

The rest of the mini is simply gorgeous too. Have voted high (very high )

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks, I know the skin tone isn\'t to everyones taste but I kinda like it and it also ties it in with the Orc Chieftan that I painted, the armour on both orcs is similar and I therefore did them in similar fashion I also though the skin should be similar too this orc not being quite so big didn\'t go as dark as the other.
If I can get some more Ilyad Orcs then this is probably the way I\'ll go about them.
