I haven\'t done a WIP thread for a while so I thought I would show what I am currently working on at the moment.

I have wanted to paint this mini for a while now so after recently buying it from the Cmon store I thought I would have a bash at it. I am fairly happy with it so far. I have a definite image in my mind for how I want Medusa\'s head to look like but at this moment in time I have no idea how am m going to approch the cloak.

Looks awesome so far! The face is AMAZING and the armor really has a lot of depth to it! I wish I had some advice/ideas for the cloak, but alas, I am drawing a complete blank.

looks like you\'re off to a great start...
5 o\' clock shadow looks good, the trouser stripes are good, and the armour has nice depth(esp. the kneepad)...

as for the cloak, i\'d go for red...we know from the gw felix mini that the blue and white striped leggings go well with the red cloak, and it should go well with a green medusa head(i assume that\'s your idea)...

look forward to seein\' him done, as your last gobbo from steve\'s line was really cool...

How about being a bit different and doing the cloak a dark, emerald green - and that could tie in with the green colouration of Medusa ... ?

Thanks guys, dark green is an option I hadn\'t thought of and could work. I had kind of accepted that it would be a red cloak but the idea of green is growing on me, the face of Medusa is going to be a normal flesh tone but with green in it just to make it look a little snakelike then that gives me the option of doing something a little darker for the actual snakes themselves.
Steve I am eagerly awaiting the release of your Barbarians as they are on the top of my wish list.

My first thoughts were of a yellow cape interior to set off the green snake heads.

Righty ho got some more done to Kordius the red isn\'t finished yet I need to smooth it out more and maybe add another level of highlighting. I am pretty pleased with Medusas head the shades are not showing up as well as they could. I am going to go for a much darker green for the snakes on her head. I tried to make the eyes glow but they didn\'t come out like I intended still I do like the look of them.

I don\'t know whether to keep the red going on the outside of the cloak or go for another colour like a dark to mid tone grey. The boots are only base coated and shaded I still need to do alot more work on them yet.

I got some more done to Kordius yesterday. I smoothed out the red on the cloak and also finished Medusa\'s head as well as painted the boots.

This shot is taken at a different angle from before so you can better see the way I have painted Medusa.

Very nice work, Tim! I like how this is coming out. Except for the boots... I don\'t think the quite yellow tone of the leather meshes that well with the rest of the colours. I would use darker brown, with less yellow in it.

Looking great. How about a deep hunter green exterior to the cloak? Maybe interfere with the \"hair\" color on Medusa or it might set it off well.
