The waters of the Ciar River were calm this morning...the stench of death permeated the air...our hero\'s only regret was that his help had come too late. A peasant woman had been killed the day before and an Avalonian temple ruined. He vowed that vengeance would be swift and many Aurloks would pay! He would bathe in their blood until Beathacrann was appeased...and the Aurloks were no more.
This is the limited edition Knight Errant model from Kraken Editions. I got this copy from Jeremie Bonamant at ReaperCon last year. I liked it so much taht I got two more copies when he came out to San Diego in August!! He is a fantastic sculpt by Allan Carrasco and was a joy to paint. It is painted in true metallics and the dripping blood on the axe blade was done with Tamiya clear red. It is amazing how stringy it gets after it sets for a bit. The vegetation is from nature...Washington state to be exact. My sister picked a bunch of different plants up while she was out there on vacation.

The face was meant to be dark and brooding....maybe a little red from the agressive physical activity that he just took part in. At least that is what I was thinking when I painted it. As for the arm, he is a symbiotic host of his tree god Beathacrann...in my mind I pictured parts of his body slowly turning into a tree (his hair and hand...for now). The strong green color is due to his just vanquishing his foe and being filled with magical energies. At least that is what I was thinking. Whether it works or not, I don\'t know.
