Lizcam\'s old \"Painting style\" thread...

Here\'s an idea.
I don\'t think, personally that I\'ve found my painting \"Style\" yet... But I\'m curious to know what ya\'ll think.

So here\'s the idea.
Leave your impression of the last poster\'s style...

ie. Say Lizcam is the next person to post - she leaves her opinions on my style, then the next person... Matty1001 say, would leave his comments on Lizcam\'s style...

And on, and on and Ariston...

EDIT: Lol \"Old chinese food!\" That\'s the idea Ainu... I can\'t do you now :p

Dan: Often employs interesting bases into his miniatures, and always adds characterful details, like tattoos or old chinese food. Tends to use eye-catching colours, but often a few dominating dark, desaturated tones to wonderful results.

AinuLainor; Likes a sense of humor in the mini. Works in subtle shifts of color, chosing the tones carefully. Could use work on contrasts a bit. Has improved a great deal since the 1st minis posted and has a really good eye for detail.

Lizcam: shows a great deal of promise, Neat Tidy and not with great missing areas or heavy paint layers. Photography need working on and painting contrast range needs to be expanded. Like \"Classic\" minis from D&D. Great sense of humour on forums. Should try her hand at a GW Figure for the Fun of it.

Dragonsreach: Clean, crisp and bold, with a definate old school flavour. Strong focus on very high quality single minis and has a go at a good range of manufacturers. Certainly knows his NMM but perhaps not quite as acomplished with metallics.

Would be great to see a painter with his abilities try some more involved dioramas/conversions and a bit more experimentation with some of the more recent painting techniques being pushed by folks like the Spanish and French painters. I think he\'d certainly be up to the task.

Er, I\'m a problem now aren\'t I what with the emptiness of my gallery? Screw it, I\'ve written about Mike now, the next person can work out what to do now! :D

lono is very good with photoshop and has a good eye for putting elements together.

How\'s that ;)

rodnik: uses lots of bright colors on his minis , he paints them very neatly and with good contrast (making his mini\'s \"pop\")...know\'s his nmm pretty well and i love his shading of metallics...not a lot to see in my gallery so just make something up (as the only mini i posted here is rather old :)

forrix paints with a subdued pallette and use of colors are in an area of browns and golds....bases seem to have an almost french-style cracked quality to them.

:D Uberdark\'s blending is sublime and his use of bright colors make for a very intriguing mini, also the expressions on the faces is a knock out and gives life. His basing complements the figure.



:p I would hate you, but when you look at me with those puppy eyes....... I melt...... here have a dog biscuit;)lol

Wiccanpony paints in a classic fantasy style with humourous undertones and a clean crip minty fresh aftertaste.

Her scenic bases often outshine the scuplt of the mini itself, but as with almost everything she does there\'s usually something rude in there somewhere.

undave seems to be a neat painter, but his photos need to improve for his score to rise! often simple yet effective bases (although a lot are left infuriatingly blank!!) and some cool conversions. i personally love the noise marines but they need some more bright yellows to bring them out (and bases)
