Lord of Bones vs Targaryen (Dothraki / Khal Drogo)

I've played this match up yesterday, and unsurpringly the Dothraki just -wiped- the floor with the Free Folk.

Have anyone played this match up before? How did it go?

Targaryen ran the basic core set force

Khal Drogo in Veterans
Screamers with Screamer Ko
Outriders with Outrider Ko

Daenerys Targaryen

The Free Folk's force was a bit random so there's that to consider.

Rattleshirt's tactic cards were just not playable, as wiping a rank of prancing cavalry is far from easy. Dothraki Charges didn't allow much retaliation, and they could avoid the giants where they could not defeat them.

I dont think rattleshirt is a good commander against any army with alot of cavalry. So there that.. But I agree that its a Hard match up none the less.. The only way i won against them was to tarpit them with raiders and pray for the dice to go My way.

The Chosen are monsters, but if I was playing Targs I'd be pretty confident in my ability to punch through those FoB units.
Once you're just down to Raiders and the Chosen, I think you'll struggle.

Yeah i guess, but the idea was to keep to the theme of the lord of bones.

If you must play rattleshirt against targs id recommend a giant spam list.

Against full cavalry, rattleshirt ruthless slaughter is a good option (onslaught ability) and tactic cards more efficient with another commander

I play this list frequently and make lot of damages with double « horrific visage » cumulate with « cut them down », 4 vicious units (2 bears) and re roll panic test with weeper.
