He looks great Bill. I just worry that the picture isn\'t great and the voting will suffer accordingly! It\'s small and dark, IMHO. You WIP pics showed it better

Bill.....check your PMs

Excellent now, Bill........you don\'t need any help with pictures!

OK; my critique. For my personal tastes, the flesh is too pink. That\'s personal though; how you\'ve handled it is very good indeed. The red on his nose is a style thing that I wouldn\'t do, but works all the same. Well done for getting fingernails on him; good attention to detail.

As was said before by someone else, the red needs more highlighting. It has enough shadow. Given the griminess of the character, a flesh colour in the highlight may have given a faded worn look to the uniform.

Armour; love it. Good colour choice, works well with the red, excellent battle damage and weathering; The one thing it seems to lack is a stronger highlight on the neck - it seems stronger on the back. The gold elements work well, but lack a little something in places, can\'t put my finger on it.

A very well painted piece, you are still improving with leaps and bound. It deserves, in MY view, a mid 8 score; your best piece so far; and still in a style all of your own.

worth all that hassle on ebay!

That\'s really nice. You have some skills for sure. What I like is how the face is really well done, showing your brush handling, and the dirty armor shows subtlety. The details are there also, like the little nicks and rust coming down from the bolts, so one can see the control. I think it is getting a lesser score in part because of the brown dirt on the armor merging with the brown gold shadows. It\'s clearly not simple glaze of brown all over the armor but at a glance it can look that way. I scored it an 8, and with a little more base work, maybe just highlighting the rocks, it would be an 8.5. You should be proud of this one.

nice work Bill the improvements are there for all to see..
I like the flesh colour and how it\'s done.I\'d say the only problem with the model is the red it just doesn\'t look quite as finished as the rest of the model...
love the weathering the rust streaks round the studs are particlarly well done..
nice work looking forward to the next..

Thanks a lot everyone

Flesh colour on the reds was a great idea: I just added some Dwarf Flesh to the highest points and he looks a whole lot better :D Cheers  @Elouchard: Thanks. I agree about the base, \'twas a bit rushed :D

Keep the C&C coming folks ;)

ok, i\'ll throw some criticisim your way. The chainmail highlights on the wreath and chest eagle are a little too big for my taste. Make the chainmail highlights about half that size(more or less) next time.
