He is a true master and I hate him so much...^^

If you are not happy yet with the tank you could tech it down with rivetes and extra armour paltes.
I think that the Marcharius might be a nice reference as it is large and has many flat surfaces

Damn, your M1 really makes me want to get started with my Imperial Guard Tiger

I\'ve got the Tamiya M1A1 kit with a Verlinden update details kit that I\'ve had sitting in storage for nearly 10 years. I\'m waiting for the day I finally buy an airbrush and learn how to use it (which will be soon, hopefully). I\'ll be recreating the tank I was the driver for back in \'87-\'90 in Germany.

I\'m almost scared to start it since I want to do it sooooo right the first time.

DaN, you\'rs is looking really good and I\'m watching to see it finished!

btw - looking at the mud spraying up from the tracks/road wheels makes me cringe in memory of hours at the wash racks cleaning it off!

Update:

I was thinking of adding a whip aerial, but I was wondering - how are they actually held down? Is there a special hook or clamp or are they just tied?

It\'s a very loose/light rope with a clip at the end. The loose end is usually tied to the front curve of the bustle rack and the clip attaches to the antenna to hold it down when needed.

Sorry about the confusuion. The bustle rack is the cargo rack that wraps around pretty much the entire turret. I\'ve pointed out here where the end of the rope is usually tied off at, where the .50 cal can is.

The tie down is fairly simple and looks like this...

I\'m surpised I actually found a pic of this online. Regular line tanks two antennas, one on either side. HQ/Command vehicles had a third on on the left side.

Hope that help!

Ahhh, cheers - yeah that\'s kinda how I pictured it actually - I\'ll have to add that right at the end if I decide to do it then.

Accidentally snapped the plastic aerial off earlier today, so having to pin that on later too! :p lol

Almost done the turret now :p

Notice I redid the commander\'s uniform as the grey/blue wasn\'t working for me :p

Hahah DaN - I don\'t know too many TC\'s who would drink tea! (at least not on an M1A1) Coffee, black, fresh from the engine grills will do.lol

My thoughts exactly. If it cannot be used as a de-greaser or paint stripper, then it is not good coffee.

That is awesome mate, I\'ve been following this but haven\'t commented thus far as I was awaiting the final outcome that thing is sexier than Demi Moore in wet combat fatigues. :)
