Here is a little miniature done in 2 days for the independant painting contest at GENCON.

I must concur that is a really nice and simple piece...at first view.
But what takes it out of the \'simple category\' is the subtle nuances of the colours making the whole thing work.

I must admit the whole thing looks really well balanced and proportioned, But I bet it was a swine to photograph as well as you have.

The floor is beautiful. The colors are perfect, subtle and stunning. I love this. I think a bit of subtle embellishment on the sashes would have made the final touch. Gorgeous work overall. Good luck with it!

amazing piece. are the shadows on the model as dark in real life or does the lighting help? they seem almost black

The final shadows on the model are a mixture of sanguine red and exile blue which gives you a really dark color close to black.
