Meliarra and Tarika from Guild of Harmony

hey guys, I knocked out some quick paint jobs on a couple of my new Guild of Harmony figures. They are each about 6-8 hour jobs - I realise that is probably not what most of you might call \'quick\' haha, but usually my minis take 30-35 hours to paint, so for me, these are just quick ones (for advertising purposes!).

Just thought you might be interested to check it out, anyway. Hopefully the paint makes the sculpts a bit easier to see, at least.

I\'ll try to get round to painting the others when I have time. Torphaal, the beastman, in particular I think will look more appealing once there is a painted version out there.

Here they are:

6-8 hours? That kinda makes me want to cry a little bit. I was so proud of my Wizard I painted in under 3 :p

Well your wizard looks great to me - a nice clean and crisp job, definately impressive for under 3 hours!

As for mine - well when you\'ve had a lot of painting practice, I think there are painting tricks you can use to make things faster, and still look reasonably good at first glance. My usual minis take more like 30-35 hours to paint, and really serious competition ones can take even longer, more like 40-50 hours or more. So there\'s no way these \'quick\' ones stand up against the others in real life. But I think the difference is more obvious in real life, too...part of the subtlety of painting that is lost through photos, is also a big part of the difference that the extra painting time makes...you understand what I mean?

hubbabubba - thanks for the kind words! And yeah I\'ll get around to the \'*ahem* \'apprentice\' sooner or later, haha ;)

They both look great, but i prefer the first sculpt.

Any chance you could shed some light on how you did the first base?

You do better work in 6-8 hours than I can manage in 60-80 hours ... :(

Seeing her painted I find Tarika more and more appealing. For now I am holding out for the painted Beastman, but I guess I will have to place another order sooner or later :)

They\'re both beautifully painted... very impressive given the speed. I think there are only so many tricks you can use to speed things up, after that I don\'t know what you use but they are both very nice indeed.

The Elf is very nice.

Will there be any stalls at Salute stocking Guild of Harmony stuff? Just i\'m not sure if you have got any distributors over here yet?

Peace and love...

Fantastic for the time spent. I especially like Meliarra. I\'m not agreeing completely with the colours of Tarika.

Thanks for the comments guys, I appreciate it :)

alex - the base, well it\'s pretty simple, just a bit of sand, some static grass and a few dried flowers stuck ehre and there! WHat exactly do you want to know about it?

matty - well Artemis Black\'s might be stocking them, if the oarcel I sent arrives in time! It should arrive though. And Allsorts Emporium stocks them in the UK, as well.

it\'s great that just quick jobs for advertising purposes look so nice .. I bet the majority of companies out there would like these level pieces to plug their wares..

looking forward to seeing the beastman .. and the apprentice after just finishing force unleashed I\'ve a few ideas for him myself.... I mean sorry no he\'s a generic adventurers apprentice...

great work Seb.

The lighting and the mood created by the second mini is damn impressive. It is possible to request a tutorial to add to your website on it?
