Anyone planning on going? I went last year and the stuff in the open category blew me away. Going to try and get there again this year on Saturday. Not sure if I will have anything to display.

This year MFCA organizers are really making an effort to give more emphasis to the fantasy side of the hobby. Instead of an overall Best of Show award, there will be a Best of Fantasy award, in addition to a Best of Historical and Best of Ordinance.

In addition to the new Best of Fantasy award, according to the show organizers, the following painters and sculptors are slated to attend (nick names on CMON in parentheses): Adrian Bay (vincenti), Mohamed Ait-Mehdi (Mohand), Alfonso Giraldes (Banshee), Kostas Kariotelis (his pieces are so cool and imaginative!), and Michael Konkaros and Chris Panagiotou who won Best of Fantasy at World Expo this past August (pics can be found here).

I can't wait! Well, I can because I have stuff to finish still, but you get the idea. :)

Edit: Also, the show rate at the Radisson is $129 booking by April 16 (waaaay cheaper than the going rate) or there are other less expensive hotels in the area (like French Creek Inn). The benefit of staying in the site hotel is that it's easier to spend more time in the hospitality suite...as it is open until the wee hours of the morning and provides adult beverages.

The show is basically right across the street from Valley Forge National Park, beautiful in May, and other historical sites are within a couple hours drive (like Gettysburg), so you could really make a trip of it.

Thanks for the updated info Wendy. By any chance are you the one that had that little Eskimo cow fishing and a bunch of other fantasy miniatures (mostly woman), with great resin water effects? If so I loved your work, only wish I had a better camera to take pictures.

Nice to see Adrian Bay (vincenti) going across the pond if anyone could be considered an ambassador for our hobby its him. (Even if he is a Drop Test Dummy.......that's an Ex-Para)
Just a pity the organisers got the Wolfen Rune Priest name wrong.

He does look like he is about to Ruin something. He was very cordial last year, and you are right, he does make a great English Ambassador, just as Banshee makes a great Spanish Ambassador.

Looking forward to it.
