Mini Contest. . . the continuing saga
I think both the figures are average-good sculpts, generic fantasy types that would work well for hte contest. If we end up with one, I\'d prefer the female, as the male is more boring to me, but I really like Borg\'s idea of a two pack. It utilizes both, gives people the opportunity to do more than one style in the contest, and more than anything, might make the endless debate over which is better, a moot point.
And yes, I think both ot their swords are retarded, but thats just me.

I\'ll swap them out.
More than anything, I think Borg deserves major kudos for working on this. I hope everyone realizes that he\'s undertaking a fair amount of extra work to facilitate it, and I think complaining about shipping and prices is a bit juvenial. Yes, I realize not everyone is rich, yes I realize some people live in more remote areas with poorer distribution/postal delivery. These are facts of life, and I urge folks to remember that if the final details aren\'t to their liking. There is no way
everyone is going to be able to get exactly what they would most wish for from this. I\'m interested in this for the fun of the community project, and I believe that is where this endeavor has its greatest value. To prove that a bunch of goofy miniatures-geeks, spread across the globe, can put the minor differences in taste and opinion aside, and enjoy the experience of a community collaborative project. Sure contests are fun, prizes are cool, etc, but if you\'re voicing your opinions solely on getting the best angle to win, I urge you to take it easy, and relax a touch. Honestly I wouldnt purchase either of these miniatures for my collection otherwise, but because of the event, the fun of everyone getting to hash things out afterward, talk about it, and more than
anything else: the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by each other, I\'m absolutely going to participate. Wether I like the miniatures or not.
So. Perhaps I come off as a preachy hippy. . .so be it. But I think CMON is a unique community, and this project a great facet of it, and just want to see it go off with as much enthusiasm and enjoyment as possible, and little worry, stress, or complaint.
take it easy all.
