You know what looking at all those pics, I\'m thinking that if the historical painter ever start posting on CMON there are going to be a lot of them in the top100

I agree, while looking through those photos I was just thinking to myself, \"I can\'t do that, I can\'t do that either, nope, couldn\'t do that one either.\" The display of talent shown in the gallery was very humbling, it\'s great!

I haven\'t.. I\'m longing to do it as I\'m really into faces now. Just look how they use all different kinds of cold and warm shading in the face.. to create lifelike realism.

...it\'s hard enough keeping up with all the fantastic fantasy without getting into the headblowing historicals! lol I can see a rash of people trying lots of new techniques around here,that leather is on my list,imagine a whole Witch Hunters Mordheim warband in that leather .........one day! lol

Nop unfortunatly Paris isn\'t right next to home But next week I\'ll be going to a local convention wich should have a couple of really nice paintjobs from the french mailing list I plan on taking the camera along

Actually there is a french Yahoo mailing list where people give similar tips to what we can find here on CMON and about each month or so there is a get together in a different city. Each time it\'s organised by a local association. They hold off contests with a whole bunch of categories and they also have speed painting and master painting (a mini to paint during the week-end) tournaments. Oh, and best of all, Saturday night they go out to a good restaurant and hang out.

Do other countries have these kinds of regular get togethers ?
