Hi all

Just got the latest Forgeworld news letter and this grabbed my attention,

http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/anphelionbase.htm

Cool looking terrain, or at least I think so. I don\'t know if I\'d buy it though just look at the price.

That\'s one helluva piece of terrain...just the proper thing for a tyranid strike force attempting world digestion to target.

Wouldn\'t mind one of those, but those prices....whew... and, maybe I\'m just the unlucky one, but FW castings aren\'t all that great, price considered.

It\'s nice yes but is it really worht the price??

Even buying the bits seperately is way over the top when compared to the cost of buying terrain by other manufacturers for a sci-fi based game :D

Well as a designor and sculptor..I couldn\'t make it for that price,so as a consumer Id say it was worth the price for what your getting.

It is an amazeing piece of craftmanship though.

Will I rush out and buy one hell no! I went out and got a new digital camera instead :D

I wonder how much that kind of stuff cost t o make. I mean really. Not Forge World\'s prices, but the actual price.

I guess if you look at it in practicle terms and then take out the designers time there is a fair amount of resin used in that lot ples the rubber for the molds but then I guess they would only have to sell a few to re-coupe their losses.

Considering this as a piece of terrain: Hot shit!
Considering the price: just shit. :(
I do love FW\'s terrain, but the \"starving college student\" issue makes it a love from a distance. I mean, that\'s like, what, 800+ Euro? Riiiiight... Not even terrain that good is worth that... I could pay my rent for almost three months with that... nuts.
I just can\'t wait to hear how many people are getting this...

If you actually look at it, and the detail shots, its F\'ing amazing. It is waaaaaay better than any other terrain I\'ve seen.

Now I reckon I could make something like this (not as good, but good enough), but considering the time it would take me, it would be cheaper to buy it.

This is sorely tempting, but can I justify spending that much on something I\'ll possible never paint and probably never get to play with?

We\'ll see...

You could build something close to this for a quarter of the price but it would be time consuming. But it is a nice piece of terrain. Lucky me I dont play 40K

I may buy the landing platform it would make a nice display stand for my Valkyrie. I think it is realy cool stuff, just right out of my price range.
