My Charger WIP, tips for NMM?

Hi, this is my first try at NMM, I think the gold lacks some shades, what colour would you suggest I use?

Currently: Bronzed Flesh, Bleached bone, Skull white.

The gold above its neck was with brown and yellow between the stages.

Too bad the shoulder is all grainy and stuff, it had another layer of bad paint on it :(.

What do you think of the silver?

Thanks in advance :D

I theeeenk you may have a problem with the black being the primer.. I usually put a layer of grey down before doing steel or gold, so the paint doesn\'t look overly dark. But what looks like happend is you mixed too much of a light color to overcompensate for this.. It can especially be sen in the gold of the \"shoulder\". I would add a little bit more yellow-brown to the basecolor of the gold and shade the recessed areas for more contrast... might need to do the same thing with the silvery NMM, but the overall feel is coming together for a first try at NMM! :D
Hope this helps! :p

Like Chris, for me it is lacking contrast, something Ive only got the hang of.
A deep brown is the shadow and a pure white on the highest of highlights will make it shine.
Also try to keep your lines nice and smooth.

Thanks a lot for the tips...

I decided to continue this model in the current style to avoid to create a weird looking model qua paintjob.

Update:

The lighting is probably very bad and often from the wrong direction, I simply didn\'t know how the light would fall on this model, I forgot to take a picture with strong light first :(

I\'ll use your tips for my next Jack, thanks a lot for them, think they would come in really handy :D
