As much as I hate to admit it, if those are indeed plastic then GW are doing nice things with plastics. :drunk:

maybe it\'s just me

other than the crystal ball and hourglass, i don\'t like \'em.

After seeing some of the metal minis that reaper has, plastic or not..it\'s still a model that we\'d have to pay to get and then work on.

Whether slightly higher gaming quality (6ish) or an award winner (9+), we\'d have to spend the time on it, and I don\'t think these are that great.

Am I alone in this? Anyone else agree?

My wife and I were drooling over these in WD this week. I have to say they look much better (posees) than the previous guys from this range; much more wizardly:

Take the staff away and the guy on the right looks like he\'s bowling :D Perfect if you\'re planning a \"Big Lebowski\" army

I really like those. The lore of death wizard particularly. I\'ll definitely pick up at least one, maybe two. I\'m 99.9% sure its a plastic kit similar to the empire generals, but I\'m not sure whether you get 1 or 2 wizards...

They *do* look pretty cool actually. the old ones were detailed but extremely static, like most of the leaders and special troops of old.

I think they\'re quite awesome. If a plastic kit, I\'ll definitely be buying at least one. The kits that GW has been doing have been pretty nice deals in general due to all the extra bits.

It also looks like the hand of Anya with the high quality painting.

i\'m not a fan of gw\'s plastic kits at all.

i\'ll wait till i see them in the store before i fully make my mind up, but for now, i\'m not convinced that these will be anything better than the stuff you get in unit boxes.

Yeah, because the other \'Eavy Metal painters, they just can\'t hack it when it comes to high quality painting! lol

I like them a lot. They have obviously been influenced by the Dave Gallagher concept sketches from Warhammer Online (the ones in the Blood on the Reik artbook) which featured all manner of coolness. The astrolobe on the staff is excellent!

As a gamer as well as a painter the plastic kits are just sheer awesomeness. All of the options you need and bits a plenty to do extra conversions with.

I am just sooooo looking forward to what the plastic 40k Ork Warboss kit will look like. They have to do one wouldn\'t you think? Roll on Christmas time!

I think they are a TON better than the old mages. There was maybe 2-3 decent mages out of the previous couple of editions. The old Beast mage was great, but nobody uses Lore of Beasts :p

So overall I\'m quite pleased with how these turned out. And to hopefully provide an answer to some of your questions, there should be parts for 2 mages on foot per box. No mounted mages like the General box, apparently nobody uses mounted mages except me on occassion lol

The variety of parts in these kits should be fun to play with.
