My Latest Thrud

Hi all I was a bit unsure as to whether to put this in my gallery or not. I realy like the model but Thrud is one of those minis you either like or don\'t and doesn\'t always do so well but what the hell here he is,

You\'ve got to post Thrud. You\'ve got to post everything. If people don\'t like one, they\'ll like another better. Only your best 5 affect your rating.
Oh, I think he\'s nice. Good skin and very nice floor. Just not keen on Thrud, but he has his place.

Very nice looking Tim. While I am not a huge fan of Thrud, I do like your style. Solid 9 in my book.

I like thrud as well. I voted an 8. Not sure if its the pic but a few parts on the chest looked a little rough. Still a solid paint job. Good one.

Thats a good Thrud and not at all crud,bud.

While I like the skin tones I would like to see a variation across the whole body.

Good job overall. The axe is a bit rough in the shading and I feel the skin tones could have stood to have a brighter highlight around the shoulders and chest area. Having said that it is a very nice piece. Count me in as a Thrud supporter.

I agree Thrud is one of those you either like it or you don\'t minis, but one thing that people forget is that in his own way Thrud is an exceptionally difficult mini to pull off well. The steroid abusing body of Thurd needs just the right amound of shading/highlight to make it look plausable. You have it very close to the point of near plausibility, especially the back moreso than the front.

I wonder what he would look like if you replaced the axe with a baseball bat? Pinstripes on the loin cloth perhaps?

great work. personally i would prefer just a little more contrast on the skin. trouble is too much and it would look silly(er). i like thrud though (must buy the new comic)

Deffinately something odd going on here I have clicked the link 7 or 8 times to see Thrud but each time I have got a totally different mini by a different artist???

Its not you on this one - its not in his gallery yet (or has been taken down)

And yeah, something like a farmers tan would look brilliant - really tanned arms and neck, and a pasty chest and stomach (if thats what you meant)
