Hello

I must admit that I havn't touch a GS for ages (6 years ?!) and lately I come back to playing mordheim - I took my old conversions and wondered if i still could do any think like that.
I must say - those are my private minis for my collection - I'm not selling any of those and I'm not making any casts of those.

So here are my tries:

some nasty squigs

and my stone troll

Let me know what you think - comments are welcome - I'm a bad photographer :)

Hello mate, love the troll, the squigs are okay, they don't jump out and impress as much as the troll though, they certainly save you from shelling out money to GW for theirs lol. I think the trolls weapon needs a little reworking however, looks a little roughly done and uninteresting - I don't doubt you can come up with something better. I would also say that the skin surfaces would benefit from a little more love from the clayshapers, polish up and make it nice and shiny on the smoother areas - especially the skin of course. But what I like most is that the sculpt has character which is a BIG plus point, I think the GW trolls, whilst nicely done with bags of sharp detail are a little too comic book whereas yours looks like a troll straight out of a Nordic fairy tale which appeals to me much more. Nice one.

thank you! You right about that polishing for sure - some parts were still soft when I was taking that pics - i'll sit to this mini again and work on it a bit more :)

Well you could shave areas down and reskin it I suppose, I mean I would be nervous about butchering it and more inclined to start another one, but then you have the pose and character absolutely perfect in this - its just a few minor things making it slightly less perfect than what it could be. The weapon could be easily re-done but I would be tempted to stick with the pick axe idea, just make a better one - neater, crisper edges, more detailed and realistic. Try making it from milliput or a 50/50 mix of milluput/greenstuff. Good luck and post some pics of course!
