My Return to Painting

I started to do this in my "resurrected" thread but it makes more sense here I guess. I will attempt to do a photo at the end of each day in which I paint.

For now though, if anyone has suggestions of how to make the sigils on his scabbards and bracer kind of glow, I'd love to hear it.

(I'm not familiar with the forum mechanics yet so forgive me if this is botched.)

anyone know why I can't just link to my flikr account?

all I've done is a bit of metallic and shading/highlighting on the boots.
Takes time to reconstitute the old paint bottles

Looking nice! The cloak is wicked! Very bright. Not sure about the colours on the armour but thats just me :)

So I realized I did not have any superglue to put his hand on.
While waiting for an opportunity to go to the store I pulled out his troop of bowmen and finished them up.
This army is going to kill me, but I'm counting these guys as "done" despite not doing the bases yet.

Oh, and as I said, these are just snapshots. For some reason the bows don't show their color. They actually fade to orange as they sink behind the metal at the handle.

I'm really liking that guy as a leader mini. I'm looking forward to doing my mages. I don't like following canon and this is not going to be a tournament-legal army. My mages are all going to be women. Spyglass and Reaper have some great female mage minis.
