Anyone use this thing?

I just opened up a page and have reconnected with 2 folks from high school.
Wondered if anyone did mini painting and had a myspace group.

Then you get people to look at it and comment on it. And then you add them to your friends list and they add you and so on and so on until you have 2347287428974827557 friends and then you arrange them in your top 8 and then your real life friends get pissed off with you for not putting them in your top 8.

I hate MySpace. The only reason I got mine was to stop someone badgering me about.

i use it to communicate with my non-mini-painting friends. my closest friends are spread out across the globe: hawaii, japan, pennsylvania, iraq, Uzbekistan, all over california, seattle...wherever.....
its great for that purpose alone - i get my friends numbers when i lose them, or just touch base with old enemies. you can also get updates on bands or whatever you are interested in. hanging out on my space is lame though - i much prefer the high brow antics of the esteemed patrons of the freak bar.

I started a MySpace page just so I could view Leopardpixie\'s, because you have to be a member to view others. I never really did anything with mine, it\'s pretty basic, because a few days after I started it I got a message from a very pretty 19yr old black girl who lived not to far from me and wanted to get to know me better. Of course, being married at the time I had no interest whatsoever... but I did immediately check out her site to see what she was all about. She had some more great pics of her self on her page in short skirts and what not, but I noticed some of the people on her friends list looked a little \'peculiar\'. Some of her \'girl\' friends looked a little off if you know what I mean, so i checked out their MySpaces as well. It turns out most of her friends were tranvestites... and after a little further investigating SO WAS SHE!
So, aside from being married, I quickly decided I didn\'t really wanna know what was going on under that short skirt after all, and I NEVER checked my MySpace page again.:|~

It seems to be useful for musicians.
I thought it might help me network when looking for a new job (which I\'ll be doing soon) since I\'m job hunting from out of state.

Of course, as soon as I set it up I got requests from girls wanting to be my \"friend\". I looked at one of them, and she had a ton of comments from people to the effect of \"who the hell are you?\"

One, however, was a girl whom I knew in High School.

So...myspace is either a race to \'gather friends\' for jr. high girls,

a dating site, possibly for transexuals, good for musicians....

hmm. I think I will pass.
