need help with grey

hi all,

recently i\'m painting my csm army. the basic colour is wolf grey (= ghostly grey from GW) from vallejo.
my main problem is the shadowing. i try to make smooth contrasts going from blue to wolf grey and finishing with a wolf grey/white mix.
but i can\'t make it right. could it be that the difference from blue to grey is to great for a small figure like a csm?.

can someone give me some tips or links to article, how to do shadowing and highlighting with a blueish grey?

Are you painting solid blue at any point or is it always a mix of blue and gray? If it\'s always a mix, I\'m not sure what the problem is, since the wolf gray is present in every color mix it should tie it in well, but if you are doing pure blue at any point, as soon as the gray comes in it will be jarring. Does that help?
