Nicely blended Feugan

I was rooting around for this guy for a while, as I wanted to finish him, as I remember being really pleased with the colour blending I had done.

And, having found him, was still pleased how smooth it was... However

As you can see in the recesses (Eyes, the sculpted thigh armour) what I\'m assuming is varnish has pooled and dried semi-translucent

It\'s also quite thick, so I don\'t think I could get away with just painting over it...

Is there anything I can do besides a full paint strip... ???

You could try specific pinpoint applications of straight acetone to try and spread/thin the varnish out a little - I\'d suggest using a very small, precise brush. If you move the brush around at all, you run the risk of disturbing the colors underneath as the acetone will temporarily loosen everything - paint included. (I\'m also presuming it\'s not a plastic mini, if it\'s the figure I\'m familiar with...)

No - it\'s metal - so it would survive a full stripdown, it\'s just I dunno if I can replicate such a nice blend again

Did you read the top posting?

TBH at the moment I\'m thinking I\'ll just strip it anyway...

Unless anyone can give me any better alternatives within the next day or two.

Two other possibilities, first is to do a light ink or paint wash, second is to do a matt varnish over it, or both. In the past the matt varnish has fixed this sort of thing for me, but YMMV

Also, as suggested acetone on a brush could be used to get rid of it, but you may also destroy the underlying paint.
