Northern Defenders is a community of gamers from Québec city. Every spring, they hold the Northern Defenders Open. It is an annual, 2 days event, during which a Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k tournaments are held. For the last 5 years, the event has steadily grew to its actual format. 100 players will dispute the title among themselves. A Warmachine tournament will be held for the first time this year.

Last year, a painting contest was introduced with humble but strong beginnings. It is on that base that we are building this year to make this event even bigger and better. I wish the organisers much success with this competition, may it be the start of a premier event for Canada.

To the entrants Bon Chance. (Well it is Quebec after all).

Thank you. We sincerely hope to be able to grow every year in order to become a must attend event in the years to come. There's a void at the moment in this area and we firmly intend to fill it. And for your reference, it is "bonne chance" ;)

Amazing entries... I wish to have such events around where I live!

I think I will consider taking some "hobby related holidays" in order to participate and see some of the competitions in Europe and North America!
