Ogre Army News !!

what are the contents of the Army Box going to be??

The last boxed army I bought was the \"beasts of chaos\" army, which included the army book....

I searched on both portent and dakka for info, but I will defer to Frenchkid\'s uncanny ability to sniff out more news.

You just had to ask

So army box content:
-1 tyrant
-1 Hunter (with the cats supervike seems to like)
-1 boxe of gnoblars
-1 boxe of gnoblars with trape
- 2 boxe of ogres ( I would guess 6 per boxe but i\'m not sure, 8 at most though i would say)
-4 ogres with heavy weapon and heavy armour
-3 yeti.

And there you have it, well I would say that based on the priced given before, to buy it would be a good deal if it\'s the same price as the other army deals.
Then again I don\'t intend to paint a whole ogre army or buy one so probably won\'t end up in my house. ( Or maybe you could make a good deal buying one and selling the minis spereatly on ebay, still to much of an investement for me but for the gamblers out there... )

that does sound kind of pricey for what you are getting, but I am a complete sucker when it comes to this kind of thing....

If I remember correctly the book was added in the tomb king army deal for people who pre-ordered it. So maybe they\'re doing the same thing this time. I do find it weird thought that they would do an early army deal like that without the book. You\'d end up with the army but not the rules.

Tyrant (special edition with lots of pistols. Very cool)

8 Ogre bulls
4 Ogre Ironguts (two handed weapons)
24 Gnoblars
8 Gnoblar Trappers
Ogre Hunter (with two sabretusks)
3 Yhetees

The regular regiment sets are

Ogre Bulls (6 to a box for £20)
Ogre Ironguts (4 to a box for £20)
Ogre Leadbelchers (4 to a box for £20)
Gnoblars (24 to a box for £15)

But I\'m a bit disapointed about the number of ogre bull Well don\'t know what I\'m complaning about I\'m not buying that army deal.

The army deal doesn\'t really save you much money. Just a few pounds I believe. It\'s only really worth it if you\'re planning on getting all the contents anyway or really want the ltd Tyrant.

I\'ll be getting the box because I really want the Tyrant as it\'s loads better than the regular release one. The only figs I don\'t actually want are the Yhetees. I know a good few more people who will collect Ogres locally so it shouldn\'t be a problem to offload them.

oh well, I am glad to see the inclusion of the army book, and that Limited Edition Tyrant is sounding very cool!

I\'ve just had my hands on the battalion box in my local store, and it\'s excellent! Didn;t realise it was all plastic - so much conversion possiblities from these things.

Wasn\'t paying much attention - now I am!

cost I\'m not sure off, but definately a lot in the box.

Wasn\'t paying attention to the units myself (never played any sort of wargame), but I think there were 4 leadbelchers, and 6 other ogre sprues; they all shared a common sprue of 2 ogres, with additional sprues for unit variations. 2 sprues of the gnoblars (12 per sprue), with xtra gnoblars on the ogre sprues.

You seem to get lots of extras; cool armoured heads, and other head variations, weapons mixes, banners, etc;

as I was on my luch break and pushed for time, iddn\'t take in too much I\'m afraid.

I think that people will survive without the rules for a while. After all, this way you can get the army and paint it while waiting for the book to come out.

It also might be interesting because people will be using their own color schemes before the color guide in the army book is available.

all i can find are small thimbnails pics of the front of the army box
and im not about to fork out 300 or so dollars for them...thats going towards the tyranid titan!

Got my Ogre Army box and it\'s great! Lots of cool stuff and these guys should paint up well. Looks like the army box with the limited Tyrant is already sold out in the US. The limited tyrant is very cool and armed with several Black powder guns he should be a force on the battle field. The fluff in the army book is truly gross, it is so much so that it comes out campy and fun. I\'m assembling and starting to paint. I\'ve got GD entries to work on son this army may be a long project. Can\'t wait to get the battalion box so that I can get more gnobblars and the awesome Leadbelchers. Ogres carrying ships cannons into battle, he he.

I had convinced myself I didn\'t need yet another (unpainted!) army, but the Ogres were calling my name while I slept.

When I finally decided to spend some Christmas money on them, the Ogre Army was sold out, so in a panic I got them off E-bay (which has tons more now that I look! Anyhow, I really like the look and size of the Ogres and can\'t wait to start painting them. One of these days, I am really gonna play that darn game!!!

I am not sure when Skragg is due out but he is an awesome piece. I just gotta have one I have honest can\'t live without one. cue insane laughter.
I got my Ogre army on the release date and have made a start but am not happy with my skin tones so they will be getting done again.
I had got 8 Ogre bulls with the skin tone base coated and first stage highlighted. I then sat back and took a look at what I had done and thought man they are crap.
