Orc Con is always fun. There are never tons of entries to the painting comp but if you are in the area you should check it out. Here is a link to the painting comp. There are a ton of catagories to enter.

thats this coming week end no? Maybe? IDK i work on Saturday after noon Friday and sat ... so I\'d go Saturday after noon and Sunday if i did..... we\'ll see

Yes it is this weekend...Swing on by if you can. The Pacific Marauders got their own room, so we will be there Friday-Sunday. I\'m doing the 40k RTT on Saturday and I have a few models ready for the painting comp. The rest of the time I will be running around being an idiot. See you there...

Well, I had a blast at Orc Con. The painting contest had a lot more entries than usual so that was nice. I went up with a bunch of buddies from the Pacific Marauder gaming club here in San Diego. We took the following awards:

Scott:
2nd place War Machine Single

Richard:
1st place WFB Squad

John M:
1st place 40K Single
1st place 40K Squad

Aaron (me):
1st place (best of show) NonGW Fantasy Single
1st Place War Machine Warband
2nd Place Non GW Fantasy Squad
3rd Place 40K Squad
3rd Place WFB Squad

It was a lot of fun and hopefully well see more people next time. Rumor has it that Reaper will be doing something at the next one so that should be really cool.
