Well I\'m keeping my latest project fairly close to my chest for a change - but I\'d appreciate some opinions here...

Do you think a shark mouth (Like on the A10/P41 etc etc) Would look good on this nose piece. or leave it with just the checks?

In my opinion, it should be one or the other. I think it would look a bit too busy if you were to paint both of them on there.

Just the checkers. A shark mouth would be good on green, but not red IMO.

Now I\'m wondering what do have on the leading edges of the wings, perhaps some D-day stripes or something.

Agree with the checks like everyone else. The shark mouth is usually found on the planes that have a more pointed profile, like the P-40 Warhawk and the A-10 Thunderbolt. This cowling looks more like an F4U Corsair or the P-51 Mustang, much more rounded.

As for the leading edges on the wings, I\'d go for dags there, or more big shootas! Looking great there DaN.

I think those D-day stripes will be easier - those damn checks were enough of a pain - I can\'t be arsed to do \"dags\" too

D-day stripes look awesome. When I get the cash for a squadron of Thunderbolts, they are getting D-day invasion stripes for sure.

Anyway - what I\'m wondering is, whether to keep the underbelly battleship grey like it is at the moment (simply primer) or some sort of light sky blue (Space wolves grey?)

PS. Yes, I know there\'s one too many black stripes on one of the wings - it will be removed

Lookin\' good there DaN. The only thing I keep looking for though is some bare metal. There doesn\'t seem to me enough. Maybe the open spots (unpainted) could be metalic?

I also like how you moved the engines underneath to shorten it, nice idea.

The engines are actually from a smaller scale (Maybe 1/72 1/144 ?) A10

Not until I read your reply did I realize I had two different threads/forums mixed up in my head. Someone on another forums is looting an A-10 and the comment was made about shortening the fuselage and I mixed it up with yours.

I think the gray will match better with the red than a blue would. Especially with the yellow that is in the mix as well.

@Peg - you\'re probably right - btw I presume the yellow you\'re talking about are the stripes? Cos they are merely the base to work up to bleached/white like the checks on the jet engine cowling

Yes, I was talking about the yellow stripes.

*adjusts monitor settings*

Still, even it the aircraft is red and white mostly, I don\'t think blue would work well in there. Course, being an orky thing anyway, I\'m surprised the two wings are the same shape.

Also - as I didn\'t start out with an ork body (Cheers again Undave) I didn\'t realise one wouldn\'t actually fit - so I guess it\'s a grot pilot lol

Or, just saw the sides out and plasticard an \"expanded\" cockpit.
