Hi all I am busy again with Orks, this time it is a Kommando squad for a Charity project. when complete there will be a squad of 5 Orks on a display base and then when I have the whole army done by the people taking part it will then be auctioned off for Children In Need

So far I only have the skin just about done but I am hoping to make quick progress on this project as at the moment I am being somewhat shown up by some of the other painters lol.
I am thinking about going for a British Paratrooper theme but haven\'t made any firm decisions yet.
Thanks for looking.

Catachan Green base
shaded by adding black to the Catachan Green
Highlighted gradually with Catachan Green and Camo Green up to pure Camo Green and then the skin was glazed with Green Ink haevily thinned down, I did this about three times.

In fact I am getting awfully low on my Citadel Green Ink. This ink is no longer made by them so if anybody has a spare pot :D

Looking great so far Tim, although we have all come to expect this from you and greenskins!

I have not forgot about my contribution, and intend to do my donated squad as my entry for a 40k squad in the golden demons this year mate.

All the best, and its good to see it all comming together!

I thought I could get hold of some Green Ink but after checking this out I must inform u sorry I could not :( - would have been nice to help out, now I only got one partial bottle myself :) better hang to it

... though I CAN get hold of some other oldies (never opened) like: beaten copper, ghostly grey, nauseating blue, jade green and I think vile green.

btw: Thanks for the tip on the skin, been trying out some different ways to do it and this one really looks like how I would like it to be. So I will try it out...

YAY! TIDOCO IS PAINTING! YAY!

I\'m glad to see another one coming so close on the heels of the last. Great work on the skin so far, of course -- very much looking forward to seeing more.

That looks really nice, I wouldn\'t have expected Catachan - Camo to look that good. The shading and glazing makes all the difference :D

Catachan to Camo Green is definately my favourite way to go with Orks too. Blue and yellow glazes and washes can add some nice effects too.

Well it has been a while since I touched this model but I thought it about time to get on with it. Here are a couple of the latest shots of it.

I hope to keep the concentration going on it and then maybe get into the full swing of painting the rest of them.

Wow, dude, the shading and highlights on the flesh are just awesome. Every muscle defined, every nook and cranny between the fingers, around the joints... Wow.

I see dark green ink in the GW store, are you looking for something different?

Looks fantastic so far Tim. You\'ve still got it for sure. I love the goggle eyes, and the flesh is excellent as always. I can\'t wait to see the unit complete.

I almost want to complain about him looking so clean, but then I take a look at the paint job and think ..... what the hell! When something is painted that good, he can look as clean and/or dirty as he likes!

He is looking amazing so far, cant wait for more!

Thanks again for the replies, so a little bit closer to completion now, the knife blade does not look as rough in real life as in the pcture but I will probably go over that again and try and make it more natural or maybe just stain it a little with gore.

If anyone knows what that thing at the bottom of the backm pack is then I would love to know. As an ex-army guy I know what used to be there on my webbing set up but I have no idea what this is.
