Painting course, and introduction to South West France
With Allan Carasco
Organized by TTCréation and St Pé St Simon workshops.
A painting course is planned from 1st to 3rd of June in the St Pé St Simon workshops, in the Lot et Garonne department, between the Gers and the Landes, An hour's drive from Agen.
During the course, you will of course improve your painting skills with a well known teacher, but you will also have the opportunity to discover the food and countryside of South West France and spend a relaxing weekend in pleasant surroundings.
Programme :
4 half days of painting under tuition by Allan Carasco on a figure sculpted by himself specially for the occasion. This figure will be a limited edition, numbered from 1 to 20. Themes of lessons will be treating skin and metals.
One morning will be spent visiting a reconstitution of a medieval camp where you will be able to try out catapults and siege engines, and shooting with a crossbow.

Meals :
The course includes 2 breakfasts and 4 meals.
All meals will be opportunities to discover local produce and specialities.
All products and wine are produced in the region and local farms.
Each meal includes an aperitif, wine, a gastronomical menu, dessert and coffee.
Here are a few ideas of what you will be eating: garbure landaise, home-made terrines, landaise salad (duck breast and gizzards, and foie gras), duck confit, Bayonne ham piperade, croustade, cheeses, Pousse Rapière, Floc de Gascogne...
Accomodation:
The course includes 2 nights in regional Bed and Breakfasts, each one has its own level of comfort.
Getting here:
You can drive to the workshops, a map and directions will be provided to help you find us.
You can also get a train to Agen and we will pick you up.
Option:
You can of course come with your partner or spouse who, if not a painter, can visit the many beautiful sights of the region during the painting lessons.
Availability:
10 painters and 4 partners maximum.
Cost :
From 150€ upwards, depending on the accomodation options you choose.
Please consider that as the course capacity is very small and the organisation of this event is quite costly, you should only sign up for it if you are 100% sure that you can come.
You have to speak english or french, or it will be very difficult to comunicate with Allan and the other painters.
