I was wondering how to paint salaies all good like. because when i tried to do it for my friend it kida looked like a DA with different shoulder pads anyone know a way to do this with out its looking like a da?

Salaies? I think you misspelled something.
I take it you mean Salamanders? They are pretty basic to paint really. The main color for the armor is Snot Green, rather than Dark Angels Green. It\'s a much brighter color. Most people hilight this by mixing in Scorpion Green, or just using pure Scorpion.
I painted mine almost identical to the Codex color scheme, but with a few minor tweaks for personal taste. I prefer red eyes to yellow, and I used more green for the backpacks instead of black. The Sallies are one of the only armies where the colors suggested in the book are pretty much bang on what they actually used on the models. In some cases, it doesn\'t even look remotely like the colors they recommend
Use of black accent colors is good to differentiate them from DA as well, who use Bone for their accent most of the time. Having some good flame motifs doesn\'t hurt either.
Post some pics if you can, it\'ll help us give some more useful feedback.
