Going back to animal rights activists....

What do they do if the house the live in is invested with rodents? what about cockroaches? What if there is a snake in their toilet?

Have they stepped on an ant or swatted a fly?

Where is the line for animal protection?

Is it just cute animals? Is it ALL animals?

I refer you to Denis Leary.

\"The problem is we only want to save the cute animals dont we? Why not have animal auditions? What are you? I\'m an otter. And what do you do? I swim arround on my back doing cute little human things with my hands! Your free to go. What are you? I\'m a cow. Get in the f***ing truck. But I\'m an animal, I have rights! Your a baseball glove! Get on the truck!\"

Well, if they have an ant, fly, roach and rat problem, it is because they don\'t keep their place clean. If you live in filth, be prepared to deal with the consequences. The only reason the snake is coming up through the plumbing is to eat the rats.

I actually agree - the animal activists had better not have any insectide or bug zappers on their premises. Hypocrites.

In other words, we may be ordering Soilant Green burgers at McDonald\'s in the not too distant future.

Do they treat those \'Soilant Green\'s\' well? Do they taste like cow? :drunk:

The problem with animal activists and other activists is a group of people with good intentions and a feeling about a subject are marred by a group of OTT dicks whose extreme actions cause negative feelings towards all of their kind.
I used to work in the pet trade and dealed mainly with exotic reptiles and such. All the animals we sold were bred locally and some were endangered but the efforts of keepers and zoological societies throughout the world had led to the captive breding of such species..
One evening the shop was raided by an animal rights group who smashed the tanks of the animals and spray painted slogans everywhere.
The animals that weren\'t killed by the plate glass or the spray paint fumes were found over a period of years in various states usually very ill or dead....Sheer Lunacy in action.

I respect peoples rights to feel a certain way about a subject I support several animal welfare organisations through monthly donations myself..but idiotic behaviour isn\'t excusable for any reason...

oh and Vike...what if they have a tapeworm?????

lol My wife calls me a pervert too, but I think she likes it ;)

Vincegamer: no I have synthetic brushes. and yes they are crappy...

On that note I think most of you are missing the point. It\'s not about killing and eating animals it\'s about the quality of life of the animals. All the pig products in the supermarkets come from factory farms (at least in the us) where the animals are raised in horible conditions. If they were allowed to roam around and generally live a happy pig life I wouldn\'t have a problem eating bacon and pork chops...

It always comes back to the corporate machine. Anytime the \"machine\" tries to contain a living thing into it\'s penny pinching system to get the most \"productivity\" out of it, the living thing breaks down. This is true with humans, pigs, chickens or whatever. Animals get sick and have to be pumped with antibiotics, humans are depressed and hate their jobs, ect... *insert your own opocalyptic statement about the end of the world, or our culture at least...*
