Hi!
I\'ll try to give you several to pick from.
The games from privateer seem solid enough with small armies to give them a try (I haven\'t though).
But if you are not sure how long this will last I would try some GW games. Mordheim seems solid but needs terrain (good for the craft aspect). Space Hulk is also very nice (one of GW\'s older games - try ebay, but can be played with current figures as well).
The one that I like the most and where the campaign aspect is easiest to implement is Blood Bowl (a _fantasy_ football game). Sadly the official support from GW is not much, but the fan base is strong and the rules are very good. The rules are free, all you need is some teams etc. PM me if you need help setting you up with all you need (not an ad - not selling anything, just trying to help).

We have decided to give Mordheim a go although im going to get the Warmachine rulebook aswell.
Im also severly tempted to start painting again especially after seeing the ninja figure for the infinity game - keep your eye out for that when/if i ever find the time and my paints again
