Muslims in America are the targets of increasingly vitriolic rhetoric and are frequently depicted in a negative light. The Rainbow Brush competition this year will be a chance to send a different, positive message. This year's theme is to depict Islam's contributions to society, from the Taj Mahal, to the Arabian Nights, and the advances in science, mathematics and medicine.
The contest has two branches, one held as part of Gencon's painting contest, and an online branch hosted by WAMP forums. Last year, companies from across the industry donated thousands of dollars’ worth of product for prize support, and this year is shaping up even better.
