One of my latest mini\'s, I would really like some feedback on improving. No one in my town can really help me improve in my painting(most just quickly slap paint on GW figs), so I have to come here :(. Anyway, I think i\'ve been improving, but I would really like some recommendations from all of you much more experienced painter :D.

Thanks!

Hey I think the Mini is quite nice man!

If you wanna improve then you\'ll have to start blending your colours instead of drybrushing them... All this takes is practise and maybe a colour wheel to learn what to blend to what.

For a drybrushed model though it is immensely clean and well coloured so you obviously have an eye for colour and a steady hand already!

I agree with ADK. You are off to a very good start with an eye for color and a good steady hand.

I\'d recommend digging into the articles section here. There are also some great artciles on other sites of people who post here, too. Unfortunately, I\'m away from my normal computer right now and don\'t have my \"Favorites\" links available. HOpefully some others will post some of them for you.

I think you have chosen a really nice mini to paint. ON the whole its great.....
drybrushing effectively done with a sword that looks realistic enough.

you might wanna think about doing blending techniques for your next mini. its the next step up and you\'ll be able to see the improvement as you pick up more skills

Actually, I was just about to try my hand at blending. My next figure is waiting to be blended now. If he turns out decent, I\'ll see what people think. The metal on the fig here looks VERY shiny in the pic, but in reality, it looks much better. Much more dull, realistic. It came out badly in the pic, especially in the front view. IT would help if I had access to a real camera, instead of a scanner.

Thanks for the comments, and any more are VERY welcome :).
