I don\'t think the Abrams has the right profile for side sponsons - but I\'ll be adding some 40k stuff.

I\'m just hesitant to actually CHANGE the stock kit too much cause it seems to be so nice as it is and fit\'s together so well :D

Ahhh, it\'s nice to have a kit that FITS*
<ahem coughcoughasopposedtoGWstuffcoughcough ahem> :D

But if I see something I can change along the way I\'ll let you know. I suppose I should really make a separate WIP thread now, shouldn\'t I...

If I do, I\'ll link it here. Got to take some more photos tomorrow.

EDIT: *Having said that - I only finished the tracks yesterday - MY GOD fiddly. Thank Gawd you won\'t see most of them :p

ALSO - anyone have a better tutorial link for muddying tracks than that in the GW \"Painting space marines\" book?

No idea what it\'s called in english, but the powder you mix with water goes into a paste you use for filling holes in wall etc. - mix it with some brown paint.
Or invest in some pigments the can look really convincing.

I love scratchbuild vehicles and I don´t want to spoil the enthusiasm but I wonder if a 1:35 kit isn´t a bit to large.???

I think that 1:48 kits fit better into 40k scale.
I bought a 1:35 KV 1 kit and this beast is almost large enought to count as a baneblade...

How can you anything be TOO big in 40k?? :p

You\'ll see the scale in the next photos - though I\'ll be moving it the WIP section.
