My friend sent me a riddle...
It\'s a puzzler t\' be sure :)

See if you can figure it out:

With Enniad’s fold and Azazel’s star, these numbers lead where ending’s are.

Atop the ark a golden pair; who Gilgamesh slew in forest fair; Amarna’s founding Pharoah’s name; and Dogon men from Sirius plain; all ‘Live forever’ in Ziusudra’s domain; Of Apollo of Delphi’s navel-stone; and John the Baptist’s magus own.

House Camu-lot and Greek Iris the same; stem both from Jacob’s Israeli name?; On St. Bridget’s ‘day of the dead’; Utnapishtim’s saviour sped, him to an ark with seed to spare. But ‘top t’was not, a golden-pair. Seek and you shall find.

??? :D

ok if the answer is not mathamatical then i think im going with cherubs

heres a few clues

Enniad’s fold = 9 gods

Atop the ark a golden pair = 2 cherubs on noahs ark

But ‘top t’was not, a golden-pair = there were not 2 cherubs on Utnapishtims Ark

Amarna’s founding Pharoah’s name = Arkhenathan first monotheastic pharoah if i have to turn this matamatical i would say 1

Gilgamesh & Utnapishtim, Ziusudra are two other great flood and Ark myths

its like the DaNvinchi code....but better

I\'ll add that the navel stone is the Omphalos.

Lots of mythology but I\'m not convinced the answer is cherubs or mathematical.

With Enniad’s fold and Azazel’s star, these numbers lead where ending’s are.

that bit there is the question and i think it is mathamatical

Enniad’s fold = 9
Azazel’s star = azazel is a goat, so somthing to do with either the capricorn or ursa major / minor constillations somewhere there will give me the number

i want the numbers to add up to 18

if they do then in the old testiment the part about noah is Exodus 25

and 25.18 reads

18 And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat.

although i will go with 18 19 or 20

18 And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat

19 Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends.

20 The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be.

im sure the first bit is pointing to a passage in the noah story, just need to work out the number for azazels star

Ten.

Using real numbers, our beginning is 1 and our ending is 0. Thus, I think it is 10.

I\'m probably wrong, though.

oh oh oh and also the diffrence between noahs ark and Utnapishtim is that

Noah\'s ark has two gold cherubs

Utnapishtim\'s ark dosent

Atop the ark a golden pair = Noahs ark

Utnapishtim’s saviour sped, him to an ark with seed to spare. But ‘top t’was not, a golden-pair = Utnapishtim’s ark

or i could be way off lol

i need to go to bed now this is going to bug me, i gotta get up for work at 7 and its 2am now
:cussing:

To contribute just a little, \"him to an ark with seed to spare\". Would that not be 3?
Since Noah was to take 2 of every kind, spare would be 3.

Noah\'s ark didn\'t have Cherubim above it.??? You\'re thinking of the Ark of the Covenant (the passage mentioned in Exodus) Noah\'s story is told in Genesis. The cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant spread their wings above the mercy seat (where God\'s presence on Earth dwelt).

Had a thought that it wasn\'t about the numbers, but the capital letters and I solved it! The answer is:

WEAAGAPDSLZOADJBHCGIJIOSBUBS!

Do you see it? \"GAP\" \"AD\" \"GIJI\" and \"BUBS\"! Bubs has taken a GAP ad, used the money to pay off his debts to Coach Z, and is now freed from his tiny business! He can now roam the world again, saving his true love, Giji! It\'s all so clear to me now!

Right DaN?! :p lol

OF COURSE (slaps self on head)

when i first read the riddle i thought it was the Ark of the covenent but all the flood referances changed my mind to noahs ark

the passage i read is about someone called noah building an ark, i think all the flood references threw me off

i will post a link to what i was reading last night when i get home from work

but i can see it now it is describing the ark of teh covenent, i think thats the answer!

Let me elaborate on my previous answer. There appears to be a link of messengers to or from the god(s).

Cherubim are angels
The giant Hawawa was a creation of the gods
Akhenaten percieved himself to be the messenger of god (Aten)
A probably spurious link is the Dogon tribe recieving wisdom from aliens/gods based around the star Sirius
The navel-stone or omphalos allows one to commune with the gods.
I think John the Baptist\'s magus was Jesus (depending on your theology either God or his son)
Iris has strong links with Hermes as messenger of the gods.
Jacob\'s Isreali name means \'struggles with god\' due to his encounter with an angel.
Utnapistim\'s saviour was Ea a Babylonian god who warned him of the flood.

I suppose to seek is to pray and you find god, or something. Howzat!?

I believe Azazel\'s star is a star like the star of David but consistinf on 3 triangles overlapping instead of 2 which would give the star 9 points

Since Noah was to take 2 of every kind, spare would be 3.

I think in this case spare would mean \"to save the life of\" in which case the # 2 would be more appropriate.
