Scratching a Valkyrie

Just wondering what you guys would use to scratchbuild/convert an Imperial Guard Valkyrie from standard modern kits...

I\'m thinking two cockpit canopies from AH-64 Apaches (Or Possibly HIND for a rounded variant)

For the fuselage I was thinking either:

DH110 FAW Sea vixen (Favourite so far)

Lockheed P-38 Lightning

Or DH10 Vampire

These would all need extensive plasticard remodelling of course, and some massive engines from somewhere :p

Anyone have any other ideas for pieces?

How about engines from an A-10? What about mixing scales? Some 1/32 Warthog engines would be massive.

How about a 1/32nd AV-1B Harrier? With lots of work it might do the trick. If you switch back and forth from 48th to 32nd you can probably get just what you\'re after.

I likef the work you did on the Abrams (That was you, right?) so I am looking forward to seeing this as it comes along.

Good Luck!

Yeah I was thinking the A-10 engines - maybe lengthened with some tubing.

Tbh it\'ll be a while before I attempt another kit - especially one with so much ACTUAL converting

But yeah, Keep an eye out :)

What Scale Are you thinking of using?

I have long thought of scratchbuilding something. Or Kitbashing, whatever. I was thinking of more like a 1/32nd WWII plane for an Ork fighta-bomba. Maybe a Corsair or a Stuka.

I look forward to seeing you start this!

35/42/48 - Those seem to be the right sizes for kitbashing in order to fit GW.

I\'ve had the same idea - but I need to find a good Ork to use as pilot.
