Selling Old School games with minis.

Back, oh, 20 years ago, Milton Bradley came out with a series of war games that used miniatures for playing pieces.

I had this wacky idea that I\'d some day I would paint the minis.
Ah well. Times change and I\'m running out of shelf space, so I\'m auctioning off some games.

DON\'T Sell Axis and Allies!! You\'ll regret it later!!

One of the best strategy boardgames ever, in my opinion! There have been a few companies that have put out revised rules for it.

I thought about selling it at one time, but didn\'t. I did sell \"Fortress America\" (which actually had an incredibly likeness of Saddam Hussein on the box) for a tidy little profit.

I always wanted to get my hands on Shogun, and I remember the Conquest of the Empire always looked cool.

Anyhow, good luck with the auctions. I\'ll keep my eye on that Shogun!

Thanks.
Conquest has some rules that lead to fascinating results I\'ll tell you about later.
A&A actually has a computer version. I think I may be able to play it online but haven\'t tried. It is a pretty good game, but I\'ve played so many strategy games I would not call it one of the best. I have about 3 shelves of games even after selling these off. However, Axis has a lot more options than I realized when I first was taught how to play. For instance, no one in my group ever spent money on research. Silly since jets or superbombers can really tilt the game.

I wish I could have had a copy of Fortress America and sold the whole set (I don\'t know if they ever actually put out Broadsides & Boarding Parties - though there is an ad for it in the Conquest box).

I still think Shogun is the best of the 3, and Conquest, because of the odd rules quirks is more fun to me than Axis. However, I never get a chance to play and I\'m getting rid of my hitorical games.
