Very excited you're doing the Chais dwarves. I love these guys. The captain with the pistol in their command group is my favorite. So much detail in his face.

well it depens if i can find a single mini, not going to buy a full regiment for £38 just for one miniature (I have the sorcerer from last years GD). think they will be very suitable for some dark black TMM

Ooooh yeah, that would be cool. You try the Scale75 metals yet? I am going to use TMM on Gokan, and it very well could make me a believer....someone at my FLGS may have an extra, I emailed him an hour ago...

Have to bring this up directly to you Skel, since the minis seem right up your alley. Take a look at this Kickstarter. It's Conan: Hyborean Age from Monolith Games. Ridiculously good deals and some of the finest sculpting brought to you from the likes of Stephan Simon and Kingdom Death's Thomas David. Best in the biz. They've asked for $80k and are over $1,000,000 after just 19 days. You have to do some scrolling to see some of their best, but check it out!

yeah i have a set of Scale 75 metals, that black metal is one of my all time favourite colors! will speed up my metalwork in the future for sure!

cheers people lets see what i can find to use for freehand, hope i can remember to document as much as possible in the process. havent begun the banner yet as ive worked with the last details on the ogryn and bases for the dogs.

You might consider changing the 'material' of some of the middle belt-section, accessories, that part is fairly busy and needs to be more readable. Although I suppose work is not done there yet.
Edit: I think Im confusing some of that section with the weapon arm, all the more reason to differenciate it.

Green agree with you on this (noticed from many of your posts that we are often of the same mind). However, I think it's something that can be fixed with photography. He needs to shoot it from the level of the mini, rather than shooting at a downward angle. This will clear up the busy midsection and make the pieces stand out better, me thinks.

i think the fact the pictures i took was very dark i had to "lighten shadows" in photoshop washed things together a bit. have to take better pictures -Sveeeeeeeeeeeeen!!

based one of the dogs, so im officially finished with 1/5 of this squad. feels good
also started a little with the freehand. this is the backside of the banner, doing the boring parts first. nothing serious here though just a plain chaos symbol so far.
