Beat me by whole 5 minutes:). Yes, with Natalia close seconds, pitifull that there are so few votes.... Don\'t get me wrong but 553 is pitifully small. I would go as far as to say that I am not sure whether it is even representative enough. ...

Interesting that so few voted. Does this represent the lack of people really interested in the high level painting side of the hobby compared to those that game???

Or perhaps a lack of advertising, as I didn\'t even know this was going on. I get the canadian newsletter in my email inbox every week and never noticed this.

Personally, I didn\'t like any of the miniatures, so why vote at all? That doesn\'t say anything about why the number of votes was so low, unless lots of people thought like I did...

@Gilvan
There were at least two threads here about this comp. ;)

Howdy folks,

It\'s too bad GW did not stick to there first notion of sculpting a Super Exclusive model given to only the 4 competitors.

This would have made the competition more substantial and interesting.

Instead as GW always does, they sought to promote a current range.

Thas what we all need from GW another promo asking gamers to buy a $200.00 Box army and paint it over night. Yeeeehawww!!!! All weekend you say?
Where do I sign up?

In the current Orc Army book there is a really interesting ( as far as GW sculpts go that is ) Orc warboss on a bionic modified Boar. And it\'s made of Pewter to boot, go figure.

When people heard I was painting a mounted Orc Warboss they all were assuming that this would be the model.

It\'s better, it\'s pewter, it\'s not out yet, All good reasons to use such a mini.

If you look at the plastic Orc warboss box cover & the examples published to promote you would say \" Wow look what 2 hours and no reguard get you \"

At least make the promo model stunning to make up for the fact it\'s plastics again, more expensive ect.

Believe me I was under the impression we would get a model to paint that was exclusive.

How cool for us, something unique to paint all those long hours.

At the end of the day you would have something painted by a hack like myself but, at least there were only 4 total in the U.S.

Could have been more fun, interesting and profitable.

Oh well, CEO\'s will cut corners whenever possible.

Im glad everyone liked mine so much though :)

It was not about \" Who had more time that month \" but the fact that we were signed up and the rules changed.

If GW asks you to compete in a competition where there are 3 other slayers of couse you should do your best under the circumstances or say \" No \"

Between life and school this is what you get from a hack and little time spent.

The winner did a great job and I hope he gets a fair price on Ebay for all the loot that came with it.

For me im up $200.00 Bucks on a model that took too many hours to paint and get free admission to GamesDay next year. thas more money for New GW models :) ........oh ya!

\" All American Hack \" thas my shirt for Games Day 2007. Don\'t try to rip it off folks I put a Copyright on it ;)

Maybe \" Electroplate Jones \" or \" Brassy Mc Nasty \" who knows

Like Natalya\'s \" 24 Carat \" only different

This way Banshee and those other fine artists don\'t think im imposing myself in their craft.

After all im just painting petwer & plastic miniatures for extra starbucks funds not, recreating the sun\'s effect on leather and other organic materials as seen from an Eliptical vantage point as relating to the celestial orbit of Earth.

That would mean using NMM and thas too much work yall.

If you want that much realism on a mini you should invest in garb and do reenactments it\'s probably cheaper and more social.
