Sorry But I Had To Tell You This.

Well I am going to apologise for this in advance but I am goping to say what I have to say because I feel so good about it.

to get the true feel of what I am feeling you would have to hear the whole story but that would be way too long in the telling, so this is a condensed version.
About 6 years ago now I separated from my wife for reasons that I won\'t go into here, I then got invloved and eventually re-married to my lovely wife. During this time my contact with my children was stopped and I hadn\'t seen them until only a few weeks ago when right out of the blue I was asked if they could see me.
Well I have to say that I am pleased as punch that I am now seeing them on a regular basis.
Take today I was on msn and my eldest daughter logged in and started a chat, she told me she was not at school as the teachers were striking so asked her if she would like to come to my house for the day and after getting her mothers agreement we went and fetched her, I then spent the whole day with her introducing her to the world of mini painting, we sat down together and painted a Warrior of Mians Tirith from the LOTR range, I would do one stage and she would copy, mow bear in mind that before today she had never done anything like it at all. I kept it very basic and by the hometime she had completed the model.
I had intendedto take a photo and put it up here but I forgot and she has taken the model home, but as soon as I can I will take a photo and put it here.
What I will say is that I was astounded at how fast she picked it up and how much she enjoyed it. She has just turned 12 so she is starting out at about the same age that I did.
Well I am learning again what a pleasure it is to be a father again.

Sorry for the ramble but I just had to share this with all my friends.

Tim, hug the stuffing out of them. You will blink and they will be all about some boy and not have time for you anymore.

You brought a tear to my eye with your wonderful time.

Tight lines,
Kevin

Thanks alot guys, it was a real pleasure to have my daughter today, I am going to bve having all three again at the weekend and I have something speacial planned for that, I have also learnt that because of teachers strikes my eldest is off school again tomorrow and I am to have her for the day again, she enjoyed the mini painting soo much that I told her I would take her to Warhammer World and show her around the exhibition center and perhaps we could get a game of something on one of their gaming tables. To say that I am grinning like a Cheshire Cat is an understatememnt, especially when before I gave her back to her mother this evening she gave me aa huge hug and looked up and said to me \"I love you Dad\" I haven\'t heard that since she was only about 5/6 years old and it darn well nearly reduced me to tears.
Well now I can\'t wait until tomorrow.

...and nearly me, as well. That is great news, and I hope this is the start of a renewed relationship with your kids.

Good one!

My kids are the best thing in my life...I can\'t imagine what it would have been like to lose contact with them...

Keep it up, nothing is ever more important!

my friend, you make me feel warm inside because my parents were seperated for a year and it was hell, I never saw my dad, I only saw him once the whole time and I always missed him and I was 12 at the time, my mother never was at home and I ended up basically living at my best friends house for a whole year because his mother felt bad for me that I basically had no money and no one to provide a dinner for me and then one day out of the blue I walk to the door and open it and there\'s my dad and the words come out of his mouth \"The seperations over, just letting you know, just come home for dinner whenever your ready\" That made me so happy just to see my dad again in so long of a time.
