Spyglass Warrior Monk

I just thismorning finished this mini from Spyglass and I have to say that I am very happy with the end result though I may go back at some point and just adjust one or two things I am not totally happy with but for now that is that. This is actually the first of Steve\'s sculpts that I have painted but it definitely won\'t be the last.

I decided to give him a little shadow to his head and upper lip just to show that he has been up a while, the base is a rather nice one from Tins Bits and i think came out ok. This is my first real go with the new Citadel washes on the metal areas and also alot of the base work was done with them. The blood drops on the base were done with the washes to start and then finished with inks to make them a little shiny as I wanted the blood drops to look fairly recently deposited.

Hope you like it for those that may want to vote or comment there here is the link.

Nice work, Tim! You say it\'s your first sculpt by Steve, but didn\'t you paint the Mad Hatter from Wyrd? :]

I had forgot about that, what I meant was (badly worded I know) is that it is my first from Steve\'s Spyglass range I have painted.

That is freakin\' sweet :)

Love the colour choice and the blending. Much prefer it to my one.

Overall FANTASTIC....9. One thing jumps out to me is the orbit around the eye and the ridge going from it up on the head. They seem way too pronounced. They look almost like a mask.

Thanks all, the model was an absolute joy to paint, I have Hurk The little goblin somewhere around and once I track him down I am going to paint him.
There can\'t be a much greater compliment than what you said Steve thanks alot. As for the facial feature it with it being a prominent part of the sculpt I wanted it to stand out. The light has caught it more than I expected and has made it even more pronounced than it is in actuality. I still like it though it is nice to see a variation on the human skull as we are not all alike.
