steam dreadnought - conversion

I tried to cook this converted dreadnought in steampunk style. :) For this purpose parts of usual GW dread were assembled in other order :), right hand was made from styrofoam (all that is white in unpainted mini), lot of green stuff and clock wheels were added and all was glued, painted, shot and baked 45min in heavy heated stove. Hope that taste is oily, metallic and bitter enough for the steam device.;)

My good friend, Loki, being inspired by idea, made this amazing collage, which makes my work part of some neovictorian reality

Enjoy! :)

Very cool! It looks really great. I love the conversion work and the painting is very good too. Still, the newspaper montage makes this even better! :)

Great conversion, great paint job and a prety nice base. The newspaper part just makes it that much better.

Excellent work all around.

Lovely and imaginative stuff. I can\'t really find any fault with the conversion or paint job, and I agree, the newspaper article is a perfect addition. I\'m guessing your friend is some sort of web designer because that looks like a lot of Flash sites I have been to.

Haha, excellent...:D... I LOVE the Newspaper montage... very nice Idea, very unique... your execution is done very goooood, I love the Steam Fist...

Would improve the static of the torso a bit (like not just one big chunk... maybe something moving in the middle...) and maybe make the Clockwork more realistic (it could come from the inside, forming a System... the glued Clockwork on the Front shield is a bit too symbolic, I guess...)...

You could use wood or more filigrane steel construcions to make the Dread more unclear...:)...

Just some advises... the Result is very good, that´s for sure... 10 Points...:D...

imagine showing somebody that picture of the newspaper clip 20 years ago they would freak..

Nice original theme for a dreadnought well executed..would love to see other elements of the marines get punk\'d

High mark from man, who knows what steampunk is. Your submarine is a good source of steam inspiration )
PS of course, clockwork on the shield is just symbol of the Mechanus temple ;)

no marines - it will be Krieg imperial guard :D

I love this as much as that mug you posted a while back. You have this Victorian steam genre thing nailed down. No criticism here.
