I do loves me Bigfoot!

Incidently, I have joined in on some of the Bigfoot forums around.

I have been fascinated with the hairy fella since I was just a little kid. My Dad is too....he claims to have seen (or heard) something once that scared the beejeebus out of him. Anyhow...anytime one of those Searching for Bigfoot shows come on, he immediately calls me to watch it.

EDIT...do any of you remember the \"bigfoot\'s coming\" song from the 70\'s?

Bigfoot is actually Elvis, who retreated from public life and now lives in a cave.

Allegedly.

Remember that time on the Six Million Dollar Man when Bigfoot fought the Mars Probe?
That was the opposite of awesome.

Futurama\'s episode with Bigfoot, on the other had, was awesome.

Normally....I take these things with a grain of salt.

But, I do REALLY think there is something to the reports. Sure, its goofy, but there are too many credible accounts for me to discount it all as frivolity.

No one else holds this view? Am I just a crackpot? (although I wish I could paint like Crackpot)

Not only does Bigfoot exist, but he likes beer.

For those of you who have never had this beer, drink with caution. It will knock you on your ass!

The \"sightings\" have all started after a first sighting of footprints. These first footprints were definitely fake - the hoaxer used wooden feet, as far as I know. All the sightings after that I attribute to stupid people, hoaxers and people trying to cash in on other peoples gullibility.

Ah...thats where you are wrong, my fine German friend. There are tons of sightings from folks who say they want no attention brought to them at all. Of course, there is a certain number of fakers and hoaxters out there....I\'ve no doubt of that either...

Scientists are actually now starting to seriously think there is more to this myth than just ghost stories....Some are saying now that sightings could be a attributed to Gigantopithicus, an apelike biped over 9 feet tall, thought to be extinct...

Many of the more credible \'footprints\' have been cast to show, not only Dermal Ridges (like finger prints) but arthritic conditions, and other physical malformations....All of which would be expensive and time consuming to fake.

Plus Native Americans have stories going back generations of \'BigFeet\' type figures. Sightings of similar creatures all over the world are common. All of them are nutcases or mistaken identities?

The long debated Patterson film (from which the famous picture above was taken) has never been proven a fake (of course, its never been proven real either)....although several \'debunkers\' took claim for it, it was found out that they were in fact lying about it too in an attempt to get ownership rights.

Like I say, I am not convinced that they really exist...but I am also not convinced that they don\'t. I have in my estimation, been pretty open minded about most of the evidence.

@triede....notice that the Bigfoot beer was \'reviewed\' by Michael Jackson? That\'s too weird!!

then why do we know about them? Obviously they didn\'t just keep their mouths shut.

Fortunately, that is a different Michael Jackson, who has written a nice book about beers of the world.

The other Michael Jackson I understand is partial to wine, and enjoys sipping it in bed with minors. Another reason why beer is better than wine...

nosy media.

My real point being...they think the story is credible, but want no \'money\' or \'fame\' for reporting it.

Hmm - skeptical am I of the existance of the hairy one.

Even after years of tramping around the northwoods, Dr. Grover Krantz who wanted to believe never found one.

It hasn\'t been disproved, therefore what reason is there not to believe there is one.

In my book, anything that cannot be fully proved as not real, has a possibility of being real. Which is why i find the whole alien thing pretty fascinating.

That Pi sign is done wrong.

I think I\'ve dated Bigfoot. But he was a lot shorter, had no hair and was a she. Rather pretty.. Maybe it wasn\'t bigfoot afterall. She said she liked snow though. hmm...

Because Horatio, there are enough real delights in the world for me to explore and revel in without having to invent new ones.
