Oh dear - it\'s that time of year again when the change in temperature gives me a sore throat Seems to be a genetic succeptibility

But - on the comedy side - I sound like Barry White going through puberty, backwards. lol

The air con at work gives me a really dry throat, its a right bitch when doing a full day!

Air conditioning is evil... And can spread disease such as Legionnaires... Not good.

But in a roasting hot kitchen its pretty necassary. When doing the early shift and the air con isn\'t on its far to uncomfortable to work.

lol I\'m so glad that it\'s over doing that forwards for me. For about a year my voice was just, like... argh. It seems to have settled down now for good though

You the pharynx is a separate (Medically speaking) area to the larnx.

You also have the trachea, oesophagus, etc etc...

I believe you....but have never in my life heard of Pharyngitis....I am assuming people get it here in the states, but just refer to it as laryngitis....

Laryngitis affects the vocal cords, which can lead to coarseness and loos of voice.

Pharyngitis is just an upmarket way of saying groggy gregory!

doh! I forgot about that! Your humidity is just fine I\'m sure....

When it gets cold here, it gets really dry...so a humidifer is a necessity.
